1) Interactive whiteboards are very expensive. You can buy 10 traditional whiteboards at the cost of one interactive whiteboard.


2) Unlike Convetional whiteboards,electronic whiteboards' surface is prone to damages. One scratch on the surface will require an expensive replacement.


3) A person can't use a digital whiteboard without proper training. Generally one has to go through the setup and user guides before starting its usage.


4) Interactive whiteboards are almost useless without a LCD projector and a computer.


5) The maintenance cost of an interactive whiteboard is much more than a traditional whiteboard.
